what is mindfulness?

Simply put, mindfulness practice allows us to focus the mind. By observing and noticing ourselves, our attention settles and allows us to decrease anxiety, worry, and stress that result from being compulsively busy, anxious, and preoccupied. Mindfulness allows us tap into our capacity to be more aware of our experience in the present moment. By living and practicing mindfulness, without judging our experience as being right or wrong, it is an effective tool for managing difficulties more effectively and living life in the present.
